Maincare Roofing & Building
Maincare Roofing & Building Ltd specializes in single ply flat roofing installations. Single Ply membranes can provide a quicker and, often, cheaper long term solution to roofing enquiries and we are in a position to offer expertise to help you find a package that exceeds your expectations and falls within your budget. Flexibility is a major part of the single ply membrane discourse.

Due to it's light weight, it can be installed on most roofs with any thickness of insulation so most U-Values are attainable. It can be used on flat, as well as pitched, and rounded roofs too. Green, or ballasted roofs, exposed mechanically fixed membranes or fully adhered, single ply membranes might just be the roofing solution for you whether it's a new build, an extension or a refurbishment.

Durability comes with single ply membranes with guarantees of up to 25 years and a life expectancy of 30 - 35 years. Single ply membranes have stood the test of time and have proven themselves be a potentially lower cost roofing solution.

Sika Trocal is a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane which is pressure rolled during the fabrication process.
It has been manufactured in Germany since 1962 and is designed to contract to contract and expand according to prevailing weather conditions following installation at the same time as providing a superior finish.
It was first introduced in the UK in 1972 since when it has enjoyed steady and continued growth.
Further benefits to installing Sika Trocal membranes include the speed at which the roof can be completed, with a gang of three men easily laying 400-500sm daily, faster than other roofing systems.
We started the New year with probably one of the most unusual projects that we will ever get to work on.
A fountain, our first fountain and I wouldn't mind betting, our last fountain.
But who's to say?
Never say, never!
February saw business picking up after a pretty mild winter.
We carried out a few repairs dotted around the English and Welsh countryside as well as some penetrations in the Midlands and on the Welsh border.
May witnessed the start of another large project - close to 11500sm in Huyton and another smaller one to start at the end of May - 279sm in Trocal Type S with a further 29sm in Trocal Type SGMa.
It wasn't our biggest project but it is our most prestigious project of 2017, given the venue; it's not every day we get to carry out work on a Cathedral even if was only Shrewsbury and not St Pauls in London.
It was a live project with a Cafe underneath the work being carried out.
120sm of Trocal Type SGma, a ballasted membrane, completed in ten days, on time and to agreed budget.
No hanging around!
The original roof cover was stripped of its covering and cleaned of all debris in preparation for the recover.
Our first big project for 2017, on behalf of Industrial Space Solutions Ltd.
Recovered in 2.00mm Trocal Type S in light grey, The greatest challenge was the size of the project, the quantity of detail work with over 120 rooflights to replace and it was completed in 6 weeks.
Given the size of the project, orders were of substantial size and weight, therefore, we had to advise how we were going to load the roof out with the materials to be stored on the roof awaiting installation.
We were also on a time constraint, knowing that we had another large project to start in just 6 weeks' time.
