Modern Roofing (Scotland) Ltd - Utilising modern waterproofing technology to deliver high quality roofing installations throughout Scotland. Modern Roofing (Scotland) Ltd was formed in Lanarkshire, Scotland in 2007. The company has expanded from a small flat roofing contractor specialising in single-ply membranes, to a level where it can fill the needs of most projects, but still retain the competitive pricing of a small contractor.
The continued hands-on involvement in the day to day operation by the business owner ensures Modern Roofing remain a financially stable, reputable company, working to the highest of standards. Modern Roofing's field of expertise has progressed over the years, a large part of the business is now in the modernisation, repair and maintenance of roofs on commercial and industrial properties, utilising single-ply membranes, liquid-applied waterproofing and metal cladding.
Modern Roofing also provide a range of associated roofing services including electronic roof integrity testing and leak detection.

Services
Modern Roofing have experience in rubber roofing (mostly in repairing of these epdm roofs) but, would not recommend a roofing system with so many inherent problems as the best solution for your flat roof.
There has been many documented rubber roofing problems with shrinkage, leaking flashings, failing seams and adhesives.
This is compounded by the fact that most if not all warranties do not cover flashings, seams, ponding water or even workmanship.
Modern Roofing believe the combination of glued seams and shrinking membrane has resulted in the many seam failures at around 5 to 7 years.

PVC Single-Ply membranes are strong, flexible sheets composed predominately of synthetic polymer.
Thickness is in the range 1.1mm to 2mm.
Some products are homogeneous, others reinforced with glass fibre or polyester, depending upon the application.
They are sealed at joints to form continuous waterproofing.
When combined with insulation and continuous support they form complete, durable roof systems.
Single-ply technology offers maximum freedom of choice in roof design, performance and appearance to suit new construction and refurbishment.

We are the original Modern Roofing (Scotland) Ltd, established in 2007.
Having become frustrated with a market overcrowded by "cowboy" roofers, we want to make people aware that companies may have been set up in Port Glasgow and other areas with similar names, to try and gain work from our reputation.
Please make sure when contacting a roofing company that you do your research on companies house to ensure you are not dealing with a newly set up company, trading from a home address with no customer feed back and no insurance, that will likely do a poor job and disappear.
