The roof was restored in three phases, East wing 2010, Central wing 2011, and the photo's show the West wing 2012.
The existing slates were exceptionally poor so were completely replaced with best quality Chinese slates which carry a 100 year warranty.
The lead used was code 6,7, and 8 sand cast lead sheet made by C.E.L Leadworks of Peterborough.
All the lead gutters were re-designed to discharge to new outlets to the rear of the building.
In the autum of 2014 we will return for the final stage of the restoration to cover the corbels and parapet walls with sand cast lead.
