Trojan Asphalt is a Brighton and Hove based family run flat roofing company with over 50 years experience in the business. We specialise in mastic asphalt flat roofing & built up felt roofing systems. Covering Sussex, London & the South East of England we offer a high standard of workmanship & take pride in every job we undertake. Our proprietor Richard Mears started his mastic asphalt apprenticeship in 1964 at the age of 16 working with his uncle Angelo Damario for Chartives Asphalt.
Then in 1966 he joined Briggs Amasco one of the biggest mastic asphalt companies in the world, working on some of the largest contracts throughout Sussex and the South East such as the original Churchill Square development, Sussex University & Portsmouth docks. In 1977 he started his own mastic asphalt roofing business taking on contracts such as the Royal Pavilion Brighton, the platforms at Brighton Station, Arundel castle and many other major projects.
In the early 90's he was joined by his two sons Daniel & Thomas who were fully trained in mastic asphalt and built up flat roofing.
