Services
Using either milled lead sheet or traditional sandcast lead, we can fabricate leadworks that are both functional and decorative.
The use of lead in construction dates back to Roman Times, "Plumbum" being the Latin word for lead and our word "plumber" deriving from the Latin means "Lead worker".
Lead, when installed by a professional, lasts for years and by years we mean YEARS.
A minimum of 3 times longer than any man-made alternatives out there.
A good lead roof will easily out live a generation and it its common for lead roofs to go on performing well past the 150 year mark.

By "Hard Metals" we mean Traditional - Fully Supported Metal Roofs.
Sheet material such as copper or zinc laid over a vented timber substrate.
Hard metal roofs are durable, long lasting, beautiful, low maintenance, lightweight, fully sustainable and can be laid on roof pitches from vertical down to 3 degrees.
Hard metals are generally installed using a standing seam construction.
Elegant in appearance, panels approximately 600mm in width joined together down the length using a 25mm high standing double lock welt.

At timby roofing we love slate.
Slate is one of the most durable and beautiful roof coverings in the world.
We can install a wide variety of slates both native and foreign which enable us to suit a range of budgets.
At Timby roofing we promote the use of natural materials, natural slates produce a variety of textures and a warmth of colours unrivalled by their man-made counterparts.
Natural materials age better than man-made Materials, they weather down giving a better tonal variety and remain looking beautiful for years.

Pan Tiles are our preferred clay tiles and feature heavily within our region, they are only found down the east coast of the UK - this is due to their use as ballast by the Dutch during our shipping trade in the 17th Century.
Since then they have been mass produced by local tileries such as Goxhill, Broomfleet (Sandtoft) and Barton upon Humber (William Blyth) in both machine and handmade varieties.
It is typically stated that most clay roofing products are useful for about 60 years but they have been known to perform well for over double that time.
