During this time we have received the highest accolade of Wigan Good Trader of the Year, not once, but twice in 2010 and 2013. In 2014 we also received the Special Recognition Award for assistance provided to Wigan Trading standards. The Wigan Good Trader of the Year award was presented during a reception at Wigan Town Hall and is based on service provided to customers during the previous year.

The scheme is administered by Trading Standards, but it's customer satisfaction that counts!
Customers award the scheme members a star rating of up to five gold stars - and the more satisfied the customer, the better the business rating.
The council Good Trader Scheme now boasts more than 200 members and they all form part of the special directory available on the council's website that lets customers know where to go for a fair deal.
