We can fit your roof in a range of different finishes, from Welsh slate to natural stone using York Stone and Bradstone.
Welsh slate is an expectational roofing slate, indeed the most durable slate in the world and has a productive life of more than 100 years.
It is waterproof and unaffected by normal extremes of temperature, resistant to acids, alkalis an other chemicals and it does not lose its colour when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.
Welsh Slate roofing is commonly removed from roofs after 100 years not because they have failed but because the roof timbers holding them up have failed.

We can tile your property or development with a variety of different styles and materials.
The most distinctive difference between slates and tiles is that tiles do not have to be flat.
Flat in the middle, with a concave curve at one end at a convex curve at the other, to allow interlocking.
With an S-shaped profile, allowing adjacent tiles to interlock.
These result in a ridged pattern resembling a ploughed field.
An example of this is the "double Roman" tile, dating from the late 19th century in England and America.

We specialise in GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) flat roofing.
GRP is a fibre-glass layered system that provides the best possible solution for weather-proofing a flat roof.
It can be finished in a number of different colours if required.
It differs from traditional systems in that there are no seams where water could penetrate.
Firstly, a the substrate is made using plywood, sealed together with fire-glass tape.
Secondly, the fibre-glass layer is applied similar to painting.
The next layer is the top coat which provides the outer appearance of the roof.

SJ Roofing can supply and fit new fascia's to your property or development.
Often, this is done at the same time as a re-roof or new roof installation.
The facia is mounted at the point where the roof meets the outer walls of the house and is often called the roof line.
However most people refer to it by the name of the main board that carries the gutter - the fascia or fascias.
The fascia board is the long, straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof.
The fascia is fixed directly to the roof trusses and usually does all the work of supporting the bottom row of tiles and carrying all the guttering.
